EX-Light series seem to be produced in the late 1988 limitedly.  Two models of Stratcaster BC’57-550, BC’62-550 and one model of Telecaster BT’72-550 were produced and were priced all at 55,000JPY.

In Nov.1989, the number “550” was changed to “51” and the price was down to 51,000JPY.  They were very low price in spite of each component quality.
 

As I described on another page, I presume that these models were planed to clear the excess stock of guitar materials.

I don’t mean to say they were inferior ones.  I am rather on the contrary side.

BlackLabel pickups and Jumbo fret,  not bad combination. Weight is 3.37kg(includes strings), not extremely light as the word “EX-Light” expresses. (updated 2021.1.1)
