A BL-2 with rosewood fingerboard. Gold hardware was specification of the late 80’s, just before end of BL-2/3 production.
I bought this one at a guitar shop. Previous owner seems to play with film covered pick guard. He should be a man of perfect cleanliness.
BL-2 mounts three L-250 pickups. The history of L-250 can be traced back to 70s.
I confirmed 3 types of L-250 by investigation. The first one has straight margin bar magnet with grey lead wire, is the first version. The second one has arch shape bulging magnet with grey lead wire, a little wider than the others, often has sunken surface just around the magnet, it's the second version. The last one has the same shaped magnet as the second version with black lead wire, the latest version.
This guitar mounts the second version of L-250.
The earliest version of BL-series seems to have slender frets like Fender guitars, but after that, changed to jumbo frets.
Alder 2 piece body, 3.48kg(includes strings). (Updated 2016.8.18)
