Bill Lawrence BT4M-100 (Emerald Green Thinline)
This Bill Lawrence Thinline model is equipped with two L-500 pickups. At first glance, the body appears jet black, but it actually features a dark green see-through finish.
Typically, Bill Lawrence guitars have the model name or a related code written inside the neck pocket, which helps identify the specific model. However, this guitar’s neck pocket was marked only with “EGR”, leaving its exact model name a mystery for quite some time.
It seems that in the case of unique or special-order models like this one, the craftsmen at Moridaira Musical Instruments sometimes wrote only the finish code in the neck pocket. The abbreviation “EGR” most likely stands for Emerald Green.
More than two years after acquiring the guitar, in March 2011, I was finally able to confirm—thanks to information kindly provided by Mr. O—that this model is the BT4M-100. I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude.
Body: Ash
