A Tokai LS-200 handcrafted in 1980. I got in 2009.
At first, please take look at photos. You will feel magnificent dignity of Japanese ‘Burst. The logo mark shining like gold, and “200” decal on its headstock indicates that this guitar is a great flagship of Tokai.
As a matter of course, figured top is beautiful, but moreover graceful as if to deny self‐assertion. LS-200 seems as if sneering down competition of figure, and invites us into the world of “The Beauty of the 'Burst”.
Numbered PAF were mounted. At first I presumed that the former owner replaced these pickups but there are no vestige of replacement. There is no discrepancy between pickup date “FEB 15 1979” and the year of manufacture, so probably these pickups were mounted originally.
The previous owner told me the tailpiece was gold. As he said, not only the tailpiece but also the bridge. Further inspection revealed the pole-piece of pickups were also gold. The first owner seems to have ordered this guitar with all gold hardware. 4.20kg(includes strings). (Updated 2016.8.26)
