A Tokai LS-80 made in 1980.
Generally in good condition but a vestige of Bigsby tremolo unit.
I guess that most of guitar guys are particular about whether guitars are modified or not. I personally don’t care much about that. Only guitars played for long times and remained vestige of usage can attract me. So I am rather tolerant of modification, but of course it depends on degrees.
I think that there are two type of modification, legitimate or illegitimate. I regard the installation of Bigsby as legitimate modification.
The reason I think so, is in "Beauty of the 'Burst: Gibson Sunburst Les Pauls from '58 to '60 by Yasuhiko Iwanade”. 11 among 87(11%) of ‘Bursts have Bigsby unit or its vestige. So high ratio we regard Bigsby installation as legitimate modification. 4.07kg(includes strings). (Updated 2016.8.26)
