A YAMAHA SG-700 made in 1978. I don’t know much of SG, but they say that it’s a little rare one.
Halfway model like this is not listed on the chart of ”The History of YAMAHA Guitars over sixty years of innovation”. In case like this, pickup date is needed to identify manufacturing year. Stamp of "53.5.2" revealed that this guitar was produced in 1978.
In this way, it is possible to infer the production year by pickup date even if low and middle grade guitars which are not listed on the chart. It’s helpful.
2-piece hard maple top, 2-layer pancake back, as usual of those days. 4.55kg(includes strings). (Updated 2016.8.28)
