1976 Greco TE-500BR
The history of the Thinline Telecaster traces back to 1968, when it was designed by Roger Rossmeisl, a German luthier who had previously developed many notable guitars for Rickenbacker.
In 1972, Fender introduced a new version of the Thinline equipped with Wide Range Humbuckers, and it was this style that inspired Greco’s TE-500BR.
Among Thinline models fitted with humbuckers, natural finishes were the most common, making this bronze-finished version relatively rare.
At first glance, the color appears brown or wine red, but Greco’s catalog from the time lists it as BR (Bronze Finish).
Although this particular instrument bears some scratches, the see-through finish reveals the beautiful grain of the sen ash body beneath.
It features Schaller-style MH803 tuners and PU-113 pickups.
The pots and switch knobs have been replaced, but otherwise the guitar remains in fine condition.
Weight: 3.31 kg (including strings)
